Thought about joining hall in NTU and wonder what takes place there?
You've come to the right place then, below are a list of activities that hall offers you.
Firstly, each halls of residence has its own form of student council which is called JCRC, short for Junior Common Room Committees. Just like that of a student council in school, they are there to organise activities and look after the welfare of its residents.
Other than the JCRC, the hall also has five other main committees that you are free to join, namely
1) CIP (for all those who want to give back to the society in some way or another. Look forward to the OCIP trip that they organise as well!)
2) Camp Committee (which as its name implies, plans the upcoming hall camp for each of their respective hall of residence)
3) Cheer (for all the aspiring cheerleaders out there)
4) D&D (who take charge of the hall D&D you would find yourself taking part in after hall camp, as well as seniors' farewell)
5) Hall Production (for all those with a musical flair or wants to take part in the production of your very own hall musical)
Other than those, there are some sub-committees you can find yourself in too!
- Dance (where you'll find yourself taking part in the annual inter-hall dance competition)
- Jamband (where you'll find yourself putting up performances at different parts of NTU)
Of course, not forgetting the fact that all the halls of residence offer you chances to take part in sports and rec games you've always wanted to try out too! Afterall each year, we have a inter-hall sports competition which usually takes places in December.
